Big epic drums. A wailing wall-of-sound guitar hook. Funked out horns. Cinematic samples. Bass that crushes you like an insect. And vocals that seem to channel Curtis Mayfield. Sounds like something amazing, right? It is.

maybe i need to give these guys a little more time to sink in - no doubt they have the potential, but i have to say, while i dig their soulful and sultry groove with a bit of old school funk, i can't help but feel like 'something' is missing - a consistent groove, a bit more variety, for some of the songs to just 'take off' with a bit more power...its good - but after a few reviews and comments i was expecting AMAZING. I hope they grow on me, and that i'm not just being held back by expectation....
